Zoom integration vs built-in Coachful video

By Coachful2 min readUpdated Oct 19, 2026

Compare built-in video with Coachful’s native Zoom connection and understand when a manual meeting link is useful.

You can use built-in Coachful video or connect Zoom for supported coaching sessions. Zoom has a native connection; manually pasting a meeting link is an alternative rather than the only setup.

Connect Zoom

  1. Open Sessions → Availability → Calendar Sync.
  2. Choose the Zoom connection and complete Zoom's authorization using the intended account.
  3. Return to Coachful and confirm the connection is healthy.
  4. Choose the meeting arrangement supported by the session or event you are configuring.

The native integration can create and manage Zoom meetings. Recording access depends on the provider account, permissions and recording availability. A connection does not prove a particular meeting or recording has been created.

Choose a video arrangement

Built-in video keeps joining inside the Coachful experience. Zoom uses its own meeting client, account and provider requirements. Manual external links can be useful for an existing meeting, but keep the correct link in the booking information. Calendar sync and video-provider setup are related but distinct.

Check the whole booking

Review the selected provider, session time, timezone and actual meeting link. If authorization fails, check the returned provider message and contact support with the affected booking. Do not delete or recreate a paid booking simply to repair a connection.

If the steps do not match what you see, contact support@coachful.co with the workspace URL, the action you tried and a screenshot without passwords or codes. Do not post client information in a public channel.
