Coaching Niche Quiz
Discover your perfect coaching niche based on your skills, passions, and market demand.
What energizes you most in conversations?
Picking a coaching niche feels like closing doors. It is the opposite: a niche is the one door clients can actually find. This quiz asks ten questions about what energises you, what people already come to you for, and the results you would be proudest of, then names the niche where those overlap.
How to use this tool
- 1
Answer the ten questions with your gut, not your resume. First instinct is usually the honest one.
- 2
Read your primary niche and the runner-up. The runner-up is often the angle that makes the primary niche distinctive.
- 3
Check the "why this fits" reasoning against your last five conversations where someone asked for your help.
- 4
Share the result, or run the business name generator and the bio generator with your new niche filled in.
What type of coach should I be?
Life, career, executive, business, health, wellness, relationship, mindset, financial, spiritual: the labels matter less than the person you can picture. A good niche is a specific person with a specific problem you have solved before, for yourself or others. The quiz scores your answers against those overlaps.
A niche is also a marketing decision. "Life coach" competes with everyone; "career coach for nurses leaving the bedside" competes with almost no one and gets referred by name. Narrow first, widen later once you have clients.
After the quiz: three checks before you commit
Demand: can you find ten people this week who have the problem? Proof: have you helped anyone with it, even informally? Pricing: will those people pay what you need to charge? If all three are yes, build the offer. If one is no, adjust the niche, not your standards.
Coaches on Coachful usually set the niche, build one program around it, and put a booking page live in the same afternoon. The niche quiz is step one.
Questions coaches ask
How do I find my coaching niche?
Look at the overlap of three things: what people already ask you about, the results you have produced (for yourself or others), and the problems you enjoy working on for hours. The quiz scores your answers across those and names the coaching niche where they meet.
What is the most profitable coaching niche?
Business, executive and career coaching command the highest rates because the outcome is measurable in money. Health and relationship coaching have larger markets at lower prices. The most profitable niche for you is the one where you can show proof and reach buyers.
Can I have more than one coaching niche?
Start with one. A second niche doubles your marketing and halves your referrals. Once you have a full roster in the first niche, add a second offer for a related audience rather than a new niche.
Is the coaching niche quiz free?
Yes. Ten questions, instant result, no email required. Share the result page if you want a second opinion from a friend.
What if I disagree with my result?
The runner-up niche is shown for that reason. Re-take the quiz answering for the clients you most enjoyed rather than the ones you have had most of. Disagreeing with a result is usually the most useful part.
