How to Write Coaching Website Copy: Complete Examples
Nour
Founder, Coachful

Useful coaching website copy lets someone decide whether your service fits their situation. It explains the work, the commitment, the price and what happens next. It also makes a reasonable decision not to inquire possible. An attractive promise that leaves those questions unanswered creates more work for the visitor.
Start with an offer you can describe accurately. Then write the pages, inspect the claims and ask an unfamiliar reader to explain the service back to you. The complete fictional examples below show how to do that, including a reader test that catches a misleading button before anything is published.
Write a brief before writing a headline
A copy brief needs four answers: who the service is for, what task they bring, what you actually provide and what supports your claims. Add the decisions a visitor needs to make. Do not fill gaps with assumptions that all managers secretly fear failure or that every inquiry is ready to buy.
In our fictional practice, Ada offers conversation coaching for newly appointed managers. The defined package contains four forty-five-minute individual video sessions over six weeks, a preparation worksheet and a closing practice-plan template. It supports reflection and rehearsal. It excludes workplace attendance, employment advice and ongoing messaging.
The total price is GBP 1,200, including all mandatory charges in this fictional offer. Buyers can pay in full or in three payments of GBP 400 at acceptance, two weeks later and four weeks later. An employer-funded purchase requires approval and an agreed information-sharing arrangement before purchase. Those details belong in the brief before anyone writes an appealing introduction.
Use your evidence-based client profile to choose recognizable situations. Keep the service intelligible to a person who does not match every profile detail. A new manager preparing feedback is a useful context; an invented psychological diagnosis is not.
Give six page jobs a clear place
| Page job | Reader's question | Content that earns its place |
|---|---|---|
| Home | Is this relevant? | Audience, situation, brief working approach and a route to the package details. |
| About | Who would I work with? | Relevant experience, precise qualifications, approach and professional scope. |
| Services | What would I receive and pay? | Inclusions, exclusions, schedule, responsibilities, total fee, terms and next decision. |
| Case studies | What does this look like in context? | Permissioned evidence, the client's contribution and limits; fictional teaching examples clearly labeled. |
| Resources | Can I learn something useful? | A substantive answer or exercise that helps even when the reader does not buy. |
| Contact | What happens if I ask? | Necessary information, contact choices, response timing and the decision after the response. |
These are six jobs, not six compulsory URLs. A small practice can combine them without hiding the answers. Avoid creating thin pages whose only content is another version of the same transformation claim. Put detailed cancellation and confidentiality information where the visitor can find it before committing.

A complete homepage example
This original final homepage copy describes Ada's fictional offer. The button wording reflects the correction explained later. It is teaching copy, not a real coach's published page or a client testimonial.
Prepare for the work conversations you keep putting off.
Coaching for newly appointed managers who want to discuss priorities, give clearer feedback and explain decisions with care.
Bring a situation from your current role. We will examine what is making it difficult, prepare a response you can stand behind and review what you learn when you choose to try it.
What working together involves
Four individual forty-five-minute sessions over six weeks, a short preparation worksheet and a closing practice plan. We will agree the focus together and adapt the examples to your responsibilities.
You retain responsibility for your work decisions. Coaching offers a place to think and rehearse; it does not replace legal, clinical or other qualified professional advice.
Is it a useful fit?
This service may suit you if you have a current management conversation to work on and want time to prepare. If you need an immediate workplace investigation, emergency response or a decision made on your behalf, we can clarify the appropriate route before you commit.
Read the package and inquiry steps.
The package page explains the service, total fee and what happens if you ask about it. If you have a question about access or employer sponsorship, contact me before deciding.
The headline introduces an observable situation. The following text explains the work rather than expanding the promise. A visitor can recognize a possible fit without being told that promotion or a confident personality will follow within six weeks.
Write the service page as a usable decision
Benefits explain why the work might matter. Inclusions explain what the coach provides. Both are necessary: practicing feedback has a purpose, while four sessions establishes an allowance. Do not let the benefit imply unlimited access that the package does not include.
Focused Conversation Coaching
A six-week individual engagement for a manager preparing and reviewing a real work conversation.
We begin by clarifying the situation, the decision you control and what you want the conversation to achieve. In later sessions, you can explore assumptions, rehearse wording and discuss what happened. The closing session helps you choose a practical approach to keep using.
The package includes four forty-five-minute video sessions, one preparation worksheet and a personal practice-plan template. It does not include attendance at workplace meetings, employment advice or an ongoing messaging service.
The total fee, including all mandatory charges for this offer, is GBP 1,200. Pay in full or in three payments of GBP 400: at acceptance, two weeks later and four weeks later. Both choices total GBP 1,200.
Before booking, review the session, cancellation and confidentiality arrangements. If an employer is funding your place, contact me to discuss approval and information-sharing before purchase.
Ask about this package. Send your contact details and a short description of the support you are considering. You can request another contact format. This is an inquiry, not a purchase or the start of a coaching agreement.
Four times forty-five is 180 minutes of planned session time. It is not the coach's whole delivery workload: preparation, administration and the promised materials also require provision. Nor does dividing GBP 1,200 by four establish an independently purchasable GBP 300 session. The offer being described is a package.
For your real service, replace the example's terms with arrangements you can honor. If dates depend on availability, explain how they are agreed. Link the actual terms rather than expecting an introductory paragraph to contain every condition. An employer paying does not automatically become entitled to private coaching content.
Write about, contact and resource copy people can use
An about page should explain relevant experience and approach, not borrow authority from an empty template. Ada's following example deliberately contains no invented credential. A real coach should add the exact name, awarding body and current status of a relevant qualification only when accurate.
How I work
I help a client turn a current management conversation into a focus for reflection and practice. You choose what to bring. I ask questions, help you examine possible interpretations and offer rehearsal when it serves the goal we have agreed.
I will distinguish a question from a suggestion and check before changing the way we work. You decide what to use at work. If your request needs employment advice, an investigation or clinical care, we will discuss the limits of this service and an appropriate next step.
Distinguish a coaching credential, a course certificate, an earlier job and a current professional licence. If you also consult or teach, identify the role being offered. A biography cannot quietly turn a coaching package into a regulated service.
The contact section below is Ada's final wording. Her fictional practice has staffed the stated response window; it is not a suggested promise for every coach.
Ask about Focused Conversation Coaching
Tell me your name, email address and, if useful, a short description of the conversation you want help preparing. Please leave out confidential employer information and sensitive personal histories.
I reply by 17:00 UK time on the next Monday to Friday, excluding UK bank holidays. I will answer your question or explain what needs clarifying before either of us decides about coaching. Sending this inquiry does not reserve sessions or create a coaching agreement.
If this form is difficult to use, email the practice using the contact address shown here and request another format. Do not use this service for urgent or emergency help.
Supply a real contact address in the actual page. Describe the form fields and any required format clearly. Collect information needed for this decision rather than asking a prospect to complete a personal assessment. Explain how submitted information is handled through the practice's actual privacy information.
A resource can provide value without disguising an application form. Here is a complete short example for the resources page:
Prepare one feedback conversation
Write the specific event you want to discuss without guessing the other person's motives. Separate what you observed from the effect it had on the work. Identify what you need to ask and one decision that belongs to the other person.
Draft an opening that names the event and invites their account. Read it aloud. Remove conclusions you cannot support. Keep any necessary workplace process or professional advice alongside this preparation; this exercise does not replace it. You can use these steps without buying coaching.
Check evidence before adding persuasion
| Draft statement | Evidence question | Editing decision |
|---|---|---|
| Guaranteed leadership transformation | Which result can you actually control and support? | Describe provided sessions, practice and review instead. |
| Clients increase revenue by 40% | Which sample, period, records and other influences establish this? | Use a supported, qualified finding with context or remove it. |
| Completely confidential | What audiences, technology arrangements and limits actually apply? | Explain agreed boundaries and link to the relevant details. |
| An unnamed client with a unique funding event | Could the combined details identify someone? | Resolve permission and identifying detail before using the story. |
The FTC's endorsement guidance addresses genuine experiences, truthful claims and material connections. An unusually successful testimonial does not establish what buyers generally should expect. A vague disclaimer cannot repair invented evidence. Check the actual statement, its context and any relevant relationship before publication.
Follow a documented case-study process when you have suitable evidence and permission. Approval for a private coaching record is not approval for marketing. Label fictional and composite teaching examples honestly. Leave a testimonial space empty when no appropriate testimonial exists.
For UK consumer offers, the CMA's price-transparency summary explains upfront total prices and mandatory charges. Where a total genuinely cannot be calculated, customers need prominent information to calculate it. Installments do not remove the need to explain the total. Apply the requirements relevant to the actual jurisdiction, buyer and offer; this example is not a legal compliance assessment.
Edit in four passes instead of polishing everything at once
First, inspect the promise. Underline the result implied by each headline. “Become the leader everyone trusts” predicts other people's responses; “Prepare a feedback conversation” names work the client can choose. Replacing an unsupported prediction does not require making the page timid. Specific situations, examples and boundaries give readers more to assess than another adjective.
Second, inspect the offer. Read only the factual statements across the homepage, service page and contact section. Do the session count, period, fee and support allowance agree? If one page says six weeks and another suggests continuing access, resolve the service decision before editing the wording. A short headline cannot override an unlimited-support promise elsewhere.
Third, trace the action. Write the sequence from button to destination to response to purchase decision. A button labeled “Book a session” should not lead to a mandatory application with an unexplained approval process. If that process is necessary, describe it. Check whether a visitor who chooses not to proceed can leave without accidentally starting a subscription or sending unnecessary information.
Fourth, inspect evidence and ownership. Mark each statement as a service fact, a supported finding, an attributed opinion or a proposed outcome. Check who may approve each statement and which permission covers its public use. A client can correct their quoted words without validating a broader effectiveness claim. A designer can improve legibility without confirming a professional credential.
Give each page a specific title as part of this pass. A service title such as “Conversation Coaching for New Managers” communicates more than “Your Next Chapter.” A description can summarize the allowance and purpose without promising search placement. Keep a dated copy record containing the approved wording, its evidence and the pages where it appears. When the service changes, that record tells you which pages need a fresh check.
Test comprehension and record the failed first attempt
Ada tests a private plain-text packet with Leon, a fictional reader unfamiliar with the package. He is not a buyer or existing client. On 2 November 2026 she spends forty minutes preparing the brief, writing the page examples and sending an invitation. The first homepage button says, “Start your coaching today.” She wants Leon to explain the allowance, total price and next step, not praise the writing.
On 3 November Leon spends five minutes reading the invitation and accepting two ten-minute written tests on 4 and 5 November and a five-minute final read/reply on 6 November. Ada spends five minutes reading his acceptance and sending the packet and three questions. These are agreed finite receiving tasks. No interview, employer participation or ongoing copy review is requested.
On 4 November Leon uses his ten minutes to read the homepage and service copy and send his answers. He correctly identifies four sessions and GBP 1,200. However, he thinks the homepage button starts a booking or payment process. The three-question test therefore fails on the intended next step. Two correct answers out of three is not a satisfactory pass for a misleading purchasing decision.
Ada spends fifteen minutes that day reading the response, changing the homepage button to “Read the package and inquiry steps,” clarifying the contact wording and sending both revised passages for the agreed retest. She keeps the package-page button “Ask about this package,” whose destination will be the inquiry route.
On 5 November Leon spends ten minutes reading the revised passages and returning a new explanation: the first button opens package information, the contact step asks a question, and neither reserves sessions. Ada spends ten minutes reading that answer, checking it against the defined offer, recording the result and sending a final status: the wording test passed for this reader, but the destination links and live form remain untested.
On 6 November Leon spends five minutes reading the status and replying that his feedback may inform the copy but must not be used as a testimonial. Ada spends five minutes reading that refusal and closing her internal record. She sends no further acknowledgment and publishes no testimonial.
| Person | Counted written work, minutes | Used / allocated |
|---|---|---|
| Ada | Brief, page writing and invitation send 40; acceptance read and packet send 5; first answer read, revisions and retest send 15; retest read, scope check, record and final status send 10; final reply read and internal close 5 | 75 / 90 |
| Leon | Invitation read and receiving agreement 5; first packet read and answer send 10; revisions read and retest answer send 10; final status read and limited-permission reply send 5 | 30 / 35 |
The bounded exercise uses 105 of 125 allocated person-minutes, leaving fifteen for Ada and five for Leon. All work is written. Earlier service design and any later website build are outside this account, not free work. No coaching purchase, client result, live accessibility test or conversion improvement has occurred. One reader's successful explanation is useful evidence about wording, not a market finding.
Make the copy accessible and useful in search
The W3C writing tips support meaningful titles, semantic headings, descriptive links, useful image alternatives and clear instructions. Important prices, scope and next steps should be readable as text. Styling a sentence to look like a heading does not give it heading semantics. Provide suitable captions and transcripts for meaningful multimedia rather than putting the essential explanation only in a video.
Inspect a phone layout with a concrete task: find the allowance, total price, contact route and response clock. Check focus order, labels and error messages in the real form. A plain-text review cannot establish those results. Remove specialist terms the audience does not need and explain those it does.
Google Search Central says there is no preferred word count. Write an original answer to the reader's question, with accurate attribution and useful internal routes. Its guidance for AI Overviews and AI Mode applies ordinary search fundamentals, including accessible important text and technical eligibility. There is no special AI text file or schema required for those features, and no guarantee of indexing or inclusion. FAQs earn their place by helping readers decide.
Connect approved copy to the actual Coachful service
Coachful is our #1 recommendation for connecting a coach's public offer information with the service workflow described here. This is an editorial recommendation for that task, not an independent market ranking or a promise that the platform produces persuasive copy or sales.
Use Website in Simple mode or Create > Website & Pages in Advanced mode. A link or button needs its real configured page, section, funnel or custom destination. A label does not configure that destination. Save edits as a draft, review the actual desktop and mobile pages, and use Publish only when ready. Applying a template or previewing a draft does not publish it.
Website blog posts and Article resources are separate. Article resources use their own article destination, not an assumed website-blog address. Check the actual share link. Compare package text with the configured Offer's quantities, price, payment choices and access period. Revisit manually written prices when the offer changes; linked elements and manual text should not be assumed to update identically.

Ada's packet stops at approved wording for one reader. Before release she still needs real destinations, privacy and terms links, form behavior, accessible layouts and offer configuration checked. Those checks are not accomplished by the text exercise. Explore Coachful's features against the actual service you intend to provide.
Frequently asked questions
Does my homepage need a video?
No. Use video when it helps explain the work and you can supply suitable accessible alternatives. Clear text can answer the same questions without adding a production task.
How many offers should I show?
Show the meaningful services you actually provide, with differences a reader can understand. There is no universally best count. Do not create fictitious tiers to fill a template.
Should every button invite a call?
No. Match the label and destination to the reader's next decision. Viewing a package, sending an inquiry and reserving a consultation are different actions. Explain any conditions and what follows.
How do I know whether new copy is better?
Check comprehension and completion of the intended task, then examine real inquiry and purchase data with context. Traffic quality, price, availability and other changes can affect results. A before-and-after sales difference alone does not isolate the copy's effect.
