Business Coach Website Template: 6 Designs and Copy to Use

Business Coach Website Template: 6 Designs and Copy to Use

A business coach website template has three jobs: get a qualified owner or founder onto a discovery call, sell one clear first offer, and prove you can be trusted with someone's company without promising revenue you cannot guarantee. Below you will find six designed homepages that suit business coaches, page-by-page copy you can paste and fill in, a table of must-have sections, the rules on testimonials and results claims, a builder comparison, and a launch checklist.

The fastest route is to start from a designed homepage rather than a blank page. Coachful, the coaching platform we make, includes 30 designed homepage templates in its website builder, and the booking page, checkout and lead-magnet funnel behind each button live in the same account. If you would rather not build it yourself, the Coachful team will build the site for you for free. This guide is the business coaches version of our life coach website template: the buyer here is an owner who reads your site the way they read a supplier proposal, so the copy is about numbers, decisions and scope rather than feelings.

What does a business coach website need to do?

It needs to move a busy owner from "who is this?" to a booked call in under two minutes, while showing exactly what you work on and what you do not. Everything else on the site supports that path.

Business owners buy coaching differently from personal clients. They compare you to a consultant, a fractional COO, a peer group or doing nothing. They want to know four things fast:

  • Who you work with. Stage, size and type of business: "agency owners between 5 and 30 staff" beats "entrepreneurs".
  • What changes. The operating problem you fix (owner bottleneck, no pricing logic, no management layer, cash surprises), written in their words.
  • How it works. Length of engagement, call rhythm, what happens between calls, and what it costs or how pricing is set.
  • Why you. Relevant operating experience, credentials, and specific client outcomes that are true and typical.

A site that answers those four questions above the fold and repeats one call-to-action ("Book a diagnostic call") will outperform a prettier site that talks about passion and potential. For the strategy behind each page, read how to build a business coach website owners trust; this article is the template you fill in.

Which website templates suit business coaches?

Pick a template whose structure matches how you sell, then change fonts, colors and photos to match your brand. The six below are among Coachful's 30 designed homepages and all fit business, operations, leadership or founder coaching. Each screenshot shows the template with its sample copy, which you replace with your own.

1. Meridian: for senior, advisory-style business coaching

Meridian homepage template with a navy serif headline, a line-drawn globe and a brass Book a conversation button
Meridian: a warm paper background, navy serif headline, line globe and brass buttons, shown with sample leadership coaching copy.

Meridian is quiet and expensive-looking: a warm paper background, a navy serif headline with one italic phrase, a line-drawn globe and brass buttons. Below the hero, a numbered "agenda" band breaks the work into three items. It suits coaches who work with CEOs, general managers or second-generation owners and sell longer retainers.

How to adapt it: keep the italic emphasis for the one phrase that names your client's burden ("the decisions only you can make" works for owners too). Swap the brass for your own accent color if you have one, but keep a single accent. Replace the globe with a calm portrait if your buyers want to see who they will be talking to. Rename the three agenda items to your actual engagement phases, for example Diagnose, Decide, Delegate.

2. Scaffold: for operations and systems coaching

Scaffold homepage template on a blueprint grid with a heavy headline and a blue Book a diagnostic call button
Scaffold: a navy blueprint grid, a structural diagram and a Book a diagnostic call button, with sample copy for operations coaching for founders.

Scaffold sets a heavy white headline on a navy blueprint grid, with a structural diagram labelled with operating cadence, owners and roles, and runway and metrics. The button reads "Book a diagnostic call", and a row of numbered notes sits below the hero. It is the most literal fit for coaches who install operating systems: meeting rhythms, scorecards, org charts and hiring plans.

How to adapt it: relabel the diagram with the three parts of your own method. If your buyers are trades or retail owners rather than venture-backed founders, soften the blueprint by switching the background to a lighter tone and using a photo of you at a whiteboard. Keep the word "diagnostic" in the button; it tells an owner the first call has a purpose.

3. Monolith: for founder and operator coaching with an edge

Monolith homepage template with a condensed black headline, lime highlights and a before and after table
Monolith: condensed black type, lime highlights and a before-and-after table, filled with sample copy for founders and operators.

Monolith uses condensed black type, lime highlight blocks, a boxed navigation bar and a before-and-after table titled "What changes in one quarter". It reads like a spec sheet, which suits coaches whose buyers are tired of motivational language and want something blunt.

How to adapt it: the before-and-after table is the strongest element for business coaches. Fill it with operating areas (Decisions, Pricing, Hiring, Owner hours) and keep the "after" column descriptive, not numeric, unless you can show the result is typical. If lime is too loud for your market, change it to one strong brand color and keep the black type.

4. Ledger: for coaches whose work is about numbers

Ledger homepage template with a green serif headline, a ledger-style sheet of monthly figures and a credentials strip
Ledger: a ledger-style sheet of example figures, a green Book a free call button and a four-part credentials strip, shown with sample money coaching copy.

Ledger pairs a green serif headline with a ledger-style sheet of example figures and a four-part credentials strip under the hero. The sample copy is for money coaching, but the layout is ideal for profit, pricing or cash-flow coaching for small business owners, because the sheet shows the problem instead of describing it.

How to adapt it: replace the sheet with a simplified example P&L or a weekly cash view, and label it clearly as an example. Use the credentials strip for four verifiable facts: years running or advising businesses, a recognised coaching credential if you hold one, the type of businesses you work with, and where you work (in person, online, time zones).

5. Editorial: for coaches who publish and teach

Editorial homepage template with a magazine-style contents card and a rust Book a strategy session button
Editorial: a magazine-style In this issue card with three numbered levers and a rust call-to-action, filled with sample copy.

Editorial looks like a business magazine: a large serif headline, a cream background, a rust call-to-action and an "In this issue" card listing three numbered levers with page references. It suits business coaches who write a newsletter, run workshops or sell a toolkit alongside one-to-one work.

How to adapt it: turn the contents card into your framework, for example "Price, Pipeline, People". Point the secondary link ("See the toolkit path") at your free resource. If you serve a specific audience, keep the small eyebrow line above the headline ("For owners of service businesses") because it filters visitors in one glance.

6. Northstar: for transition and growth-stage decisions

Northstar homepage template on a dark navy night sky with a gold star and a You are here path
Northstar: a dark navy sky, a gold star and a dotted path from You are here to Where you're going, with sample career coaching copy.

Northstar is the one dark template in this set: a navy night sky, a gold star and a dotted path from "You are here" to "Where you're going". The sample copy is for career transition, but it fits business coaches who help owners through one big move: selling the business, stepping out of operations, opening a second location or going from freelancer to firm.

How to adapt it: rename the two path labels to your client's start and end states ("Doing everything" to "Running the business"). Dark sites need high contrast, so keep body text light and large. Use a single photo on the About section rather than in the hero, so the star stays the focal point.

Not sure which one? Pick the template whose hero element (globe, blueprint, table, sheet, contents card, path) best matches how you explain your work on a call. Fonts, colors and images change in a few minutes; the structure is the decision.

What should each page say? A copy template for business coaches

Six pages cover almost every business coach: Home, About, Offers, Book a call, Free resource and Contact. Copy the sections below and replace everything in [brackets]. Keep the order; it follows the questions an owner asks.

Home page

  1. Eyebrow line: "Business coaching for [type of business] owners with [size, e.g. 5 to 40 staff]."
  2. Headline: "Your business runs on you. Let's change that." or "[Revenue stage] businesses stall at the same point. Here is the way through."
  3. Subheadline: "I help [audience] [specific change, e.g. build a management layer and step out of daily operations] in [timeframe, e.g. six months], without [common fear, e.g. losing control of quality]."
  4. Primary button: "Book a diagnostic call". Secondary link: "See how the engagement works".
  5. Problem band (three short blocks): "You are the bottleneck on [decisions, sales, quality]." / "Your pricing was set [years ago] and never revisited." / "You have no clear view of [cash, pipeline, margins] until it is too late."
  6. Method (three numbered steps): "01 Diagnose: a [90-minute] review of [your numbers, team and calendar]." / "02 Decide: we pick the [two or three] changes that matter this quarter." / "03 Install: weekly calls and between-session check-ins until the new [meeting rhythm, scorecard, hiring plan] runs without me."
  7. Proof: "[Number] years [running / advising] [type of businesses]." Then one or two client quotes that describe a specific, typical change (see the rules below).
  8. Who it is not for: "This is not for [pre-revenue ideas / businesses looking for funding / owners who want someone to do the work for them]."
  9. Offer teaser: "[Engagement name]: [length], [call rhythm], [what is included]. [Price or "Pricing set after the diagnostic call"]."
  10. Free resource: "Get the [Owner Bottleneck Scorecard]: [number] questions that show where your time goes."
  11. Final call-to-action: "Book a [30-minute] diagnostic call. You will leave with [one concrete thing, e.g. the first change to make], whether or not we work together."

About page

  1. Opening: "I spent [number] years [running / building / fixing] [type of business], from [starting point] to [end point]."
  2. The turning point: "The hardest part was not [sales / product]. It was [hiring my first manager / letting go of quoting / reading my own numbers]."
  3. What you do now: "Now I coach [audience] through the same [stage]. I ask the questions, you make the decisions, and we keep the work tied to [your numbers / one quarterly plan]."
  4. Credentials: "[Coaching credential and issuing body, if held]. [Relevant degree or industry qualification]. [Board, association or peer group roles]."
  5. Scope line: "I am a coach, not your accountant, lawyer or financial adviser. When a question needs one of them, I will say so and help you brief them."
  6. Personal close: "Outside work: [one human detail]."
  7. Button: "Book a diagnostic call".

Offers or Services page

  • Diagnostic session: "[Name], [length], [price or "paid in full when booking"]. A review of [scope]. You receive [a written summary / a one-page plan]. If we continue, [the fee is credited / not credited] toward coaching."
  • Core engagement: "[Name], [number] months. [Number] calls per month, [between-session support, e.g. weekly check-ins and messages within one business day], [a shared scorecard]. [Price or payment plan]."
  • Group or peer program: "[Name] for [number] owners at the same stage. [Number] weeks, [call rhythm], [community or group chat]. [Price]."
  • Team or leadership add-on: "Coaching for your [managers / leadership team], [format]."
  • What is included and what is not: "Included: [list]. Not included: [doing the work for you, bookkeeping, legal or tax advice]."
  • Pricing note: if you do not publish prices, say how they are set: "Engagements are priced by [length and team size]. You will have a written proposal within [two business days] of the diagnostic call."

Setting your price for the first time? Work from the hours a client actually uses, your target income and how many clients you can hold, then test it on real calls. Our coaching business plan template walks through the arithmetic.

Book a call page

  1. Heading: "Book a [30-minute] diagnostic call".
  2. What happens on the call: "We look at [where your time goes / your last three months of numbers] and decide whether coaching is the right next step. No slides, no pressure."
  3. Who should book: "Owners of [type] businesses with [revenue or staff range]. If you are earlier than that, start with [free resource]."
  4. Booking calendar with three to five intake questions: "What does the business do?", "How many people work in it?", "What is the one thing you want to change in the next 90 days?", "How did you hear about me?"
  5. After booking: "You will get a confirmation email and a reminder [the day before]. Please bring [your last month's P&L / a rough org chart]."

Free resource page

  1. Headline: "The [Owner Bottleneck Scorecard]: find the [three] decisions only you are still making."
  2. What is inside: "[Number] questions, a scoring sheet and [a short video] explaining what each score means."
  3. Who it is for: "Owners who [work more than X hours a week / cannot take two weeks off]."
  4. Form: first name and email only. Button: "Send me the scorecard".
  5. Consent line: "I will also send [weekly / fortnightly] notes on running a [type] business. Unsubscribe any time. See the [privacy policy]." (Link it to your own policy page.)
  6. Thank-you page: "Check your inbox. If your score is [above X], a diagnostic call is the next step: [button]."

For the questions to put on the scorecard or your intake form, borrow from our business coach questionnaire.

Contact page

  • "Prefer email? Write to [address]. I reply within [one business day]."
  • "Speaking, workshops or team coaching: tell me [your company, team size and dates]."
  • "Based in [city], working with owners in [regions and time zones]."
  • A short form: name, email, company, "What would you like to talk about?"
  • Footer links: privacy policy, terms, and any coaching agreement summary.

Which sections must a business coach homepage include?

Nine sections do the work. If a section is missing, the visitor has to guess, and owners rarely guess in your favour.

What do business coaches have to get right on their website?

Claims about results, testimonials and data handling. Business coaching sits close to income claims, and regulators treat "I helped a client double revenue" as an advertising claim that must be true and typical, or clearly qualified.

Results and income claims

In the United States, the FTC's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255) say that a testimonial about a result is read as a claim that the result is what people can generally expect. Section 255.2 says that if it is not typical, the advertiser must clearly disclose the generally expected performance and be able to substantiate it. For a business coach, that means:

  • Do not headline a single client's best year ("From $400k to $2M") unless that is what clients generally achieve and you can show it.
  • Prefer outcomes you control and can describe: "built a management layer", "set prices from margin instead of habit", "took a two-week holiday without calls".
  • If you mention revenue at all, give context and date it, and say results vary with the business, market and effort.
  • Avoid guarantees of revenue, profit or funding. Guarantee process if you like: "If the diagnostic session is not useful, I will refund it."

Testimonials and reviews

The FTC's Trade Regulation Rule on the Use of Consumer Reviews and Testimonials (16 CFR Part 465) has sections on fake or false testimonials, buying positive reviews, insider reviews, company-controlled review sites, review suppression and fake indicators of social media influence. In practice:

  • Use real quotes from real clients, with written permission, and do not edit them in a way that changes their meaning.
  • Do not offer a discount or gift in exchange for a positive review. You may ask every client for an honest review.
  • If a quote comes from a friend, a referral partner or someone who received free coaching, disclose that connection (Section 255.5 covers material connections).
  • Many owners will not want their company named. "Owner, 12-person landscaping firm, Ohio" is fine if it is accurate.
  • No testimonials yet? Leave the section out and use a short case description with the client's permission, or your own operating history. Never invent one.

Scope and disclaimers

Owners will ask you about tax structures, contracts, hiring law and financing. State on the About and Offers pages that coaching does not replace an accountant, lawyer or regulated financial adviser, and say that you will refer when a question needs one. Put the same scope into your client agreement; our business coaching agreement template has wording you can adapt. Rules on advertising, consumer protection and refunds vary by country and state, so check with an accountant or attorney where you operate.

Privacy

Intake forms for business coaching collect sensitive commercial information: revenue, margins, staff issues. Ask only for what you need before the call, explain how you store it, and publish a privacy policy. If you have clients or newsletter subscribers in the European Union, the GDPR applies; the European Commission's data protection pages explain the rules on consent, access and deletion. Coachful is GDPR-ready and can export a client's full record, which helps when someone asks for their data.

With a general website builder, a business coach usually ends up adding a scheduler, an agreement tool, an email platform and somewhere to run the coaching itself. That is the cost and setup work Coachful removes. For a full ranking, see our best website builder for business coaches guide.

How do you build this template in Coachful, step by step?

Pick a template, brand it, connect booking and checkout, add the free-resource funnel, then publish on your own domain. Most of it happens in one session. Here is the walkthrough of the website builder:

What Coachful is, in short. We make Coachful. It is a coaching platform where one subscription covers booking, payments, coaching agreements, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant, with one login for you and one branded app for your clients. It is built for coaches who deliver programs rather than single sessions, solo coaches growing into a small team, and coaches replacing four to six tools. It is not a general website builder for non-coaching sites, it has no third-party plugins, it does not take PayPal, and it has no Salesforce or HubSpot integration. To start, open a free trial, then either build the site yourself with the steps below or ask the team to build it for you.

Step 1: Pick a template

Open the website builder and browse the template gallery. Preview Meridian, Scaffold, Monolith, Ledger, Editorial and Northstar on desktop, and pick the one whose hero element matches how you explain your work.

Coachful's website template gallery with designed homepage previews
The website template gallery inside Coachful, where each designed homepage can be previewed before you pick one.

Step 2: Set up pages and branding

The builder is section-based: each page is a stack of sections you reorder, edit or remove. Add the six pages from the copy template, set your fonts, colors and logo, and swap the sample photos for your own. A Privacy Policy page sits alongside your pages. If you already have a site elsewhere, the Import website option brings it in as a starting point.

Step 3: Connect the booking page

Create a "Diagnostic call" session type with availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and automatic time-zone detection. Two-way sync with Google, Apple/iCloud or Outlook calendars keeps you from double-booking. Calls run on built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links. Add the intake questions from the Book a call template, and make the session paid if you charge for the diagnostic. Point every "Book a diagnostic call" button at this page. More on this in booking software for coaches.

Step 4: Add checkout for your first offer

Connect your own Stripe or Razorpay account and create the core engagement as an offer: one-time, subscription or payment plan. Coupons, order bumps, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Stripe Tax are available, and each transaction produces an invoice. Send your coaching agreement for e-signature before the first call, and it is stored on the client record (see coaching contracts).

The demo Offers page: four offers, three live, each with a cover photo and an example price.

Step 5: Build the lead-magnet funnel

Coachful has about 25 funnel templates, including booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels. Use a lead-magnet funnel for the scorecard: opt-in page, thank-you page with the "book a call" prompt, and an email sequence with delays and branching that follows up over the next two weeks. Add your Meta Pixel or GA4 and UTM tracking so you know which posts send owners to the site. The funnel software page shows the templates.

Step 6: Connect your custom domain and SEO settings

Connect your domain, then set the page title and meta description for each page in the SEO settings. Write them for owners searching locally or by niche (see the SEO section below). Turn on the blog if you plan to publish.

Step 7: Or let the team build it

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. From Create, choose "We'll build it for you · FREE" (the same option appears as a card on the Website and Funnels pages). Describe the site you want, attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as your logo, photos, brand guide or existing copy, and the Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing gets invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. It does not cover recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. One recent build was for a business mentor for beauty professionals, who got a 12-week mentorship sales page, a free start-up-guide funnel and rewritten follow-up emails. A leadership coach with a website renewal days away got one clean homepage with a repeated "talk with me" button. Details are in our white-glove service guide.

How should a business coach handle SEO?

Target the specific phrases owners use, one page per phrase, and publish answers to the questions they ask before hiring you. Broad terms like "business coach" are crowded; narrow ones convert.

  • Name your niche and place. Home page title: "[Business type] Business Coach in [City] | [Your name]". Owners often search "business coach for contractors" or "small business coach [city]".
  • One page per offer. A dedicated page for "[Name] Owner Program" ranks for its own terms and gives ads a clean landing page.
  • Answer buying questions in posts. "How much does a business coach cost?", "Business coach or consultant?", "What happens in the first 90 days?" Each post ends with your booking button.
  • Write meta descriptions as a pitch. "Coaching for agency owners stuck at 10 to 20 staff. Book a 30-minute diagnostic call." Under 160 characters.
  • Get listed where owners look. Chamber of commerce, industry associations and coaching directories link to you and send referrals.
  • Use descriptive image alt text and keep pages fast by compressing photos.

For how to structure pages and URLs so they do not compete with each other, read the coach website architecture guide.

What mistakes do business coaches make with their website?

The common ones are vague audiences, big claims and too many choices. Each is easy to fix with the template above.

  • Writing for "entrepreneurs". Owners of a 25-person plumbing company and a solo course creator have different problems. Name one.
  • Leading with your journey. Your story belongs on About. The home page is about the client's business.
  • Revenue screenshots as proof. One outlier result implies a typical outcome under FTC guidance. Use process outcomes and context instead.
  • Five buttons with five destinations. One primary action, repeated, beats a menu of options.
  • Hiding the engagement. If an owner cannot tell how long it lasts or how pricing is set, they will not book.
  • No scope line. Owners will assume you advise on tax or law unless you say otherwise.
  • Stitching together six tools. A page builder, a scheduler, a payment link, an e-sign tool, an email platform and a client portal means six logins and more places for a lead to fall through.
  • Copying a life coach site. Warm, feelings-led copy reads as soft to a numbers-first buyer. If that is your style, the life coach template suits you; for owners, use the layouts here.

If you sell to senior leaders inside larger companies rather than owners, the executive coach website guide covers what corporate buyers look for, and the Coachful for business coaches page shows how the rest of the platform fits your practice.

Frequently asked questions

What is a business coach website template?

It is a pre-designed layout plus a copy structure for a business coach's site: homepage sections, an About page, an offers page, a booking page, a free resource and a contact page. You keep the structure and replace the words, photos, colors and fonts with your own. The copy template in this article works with any builder.

How many pages does a business coach website need?

Six covers most coaches: Home, About, Offers, Book a call, Free resource and Contact, plus a privacy policy. A one-page site can work at launch if it includes every section from the must-have table. Add a blog and one page per offer as you grow.

Should a business coach show prices on their website?

Show either a price or how pricing is set. Many business coaches publish a fixed price for a diagnostic session and say that longer engagements are quoted after it. Owners distrust pages with no pricing information at all.

Can I use client revenue results as testimonials?

Only if they are real, used with permission and represent what clients generally achieve, or you clearly disclose the generally expected results. That is the standard in the FTC's endorsement guides (16 CFR Part 255). Process outcomes, such as an owner stepping out of daily quoting, are safer and often more convincing.

Do I need a disclaimer on a business coaching website?

A short scope line is wise: coaching does not replace accounting, legal or regulated financial advice, and you refer when needed. Add that results vary. Requirements differ by country and state, so check with an accountant or attorney where you operate.

Which Coachful templates suit business coaches?

Meridian, Scaffold, Monolith, Ledger, Editorial and Northstar fit business, operations, leadership and founder coaching well. They are among the 30 designed homepage templates included in your Coachful membership. Each can be restyled with your fonts, colors and photos.

Is the white-glove website build really free?

Yes. The white-glove build is free on every Coachful plan: you describe the site, attach up to 8 links and 10 files, and the team builds it in your account, usually within about 24 hours. It does not include logo design, recording videos, ad management or ongoing marketing, and nothing is invented, so gaps are left for you.

Can I move my existing website into Coachful?

Yes. The website builder has an Import website option, and during onboarding the team imports your clients, programs and content for you. You can also ask the white-glove service to rebuild your current homepage on a Coachful template.

What does Coachful cost?

Coachful has flat monthly plans; lower plans cap the number of clients, Pro is unlimited, and team plans add coach seats (current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients). Payments go through your own Stripe or Razorpay account with a 0% platform fee, and monthly plans cancel in one click.

Is a general website builder cheaper for a business coach?

The page builder alone can be, but most business coaches then add a scheduler, an e-sign tool, an email platform and a client portal. Add those subscriptions together before comparing. The builder table above shows which tools need add-ons for booking and payments.
