Everfit vs Trainerize (2026): Pricing, Features, Verdict

Everfit vs Trainerize comes down to how many clients you coach and which extras you need. Everfit is cheaper to start: its free Starter plan covers up to 5 clients, and booking, habits and basic meal plans come with its paid Pro plan. Trainerize gives away less for free (1 client), but its Grow and Pro plans bundle an AI workout builder, meal and macro tracking and wearable integrations. Scheduling, payments and video then cost extra as add-ons. If you only coach workouts and nutrition, either app does the job. If you also sell programs, run sessions and need a website, neither one covers the whole business.
We make Coachful, a coaching platform that covers that whole business, so we have a stake in this. Below we compare the two apps using what each vendor publishes on its pricing page as listed in October 2026, plus what public reviewers report. We have not tested either app hands-on, and we say so wherever it matters. At the end we explain where Coachful beats both and where it does not.
Everfit vs Trainerize: what is the short answer?
Pick Everfit if you want the most free capacity and built-in booking at a low price. Pick Trainerize if you want AI workout building, nutrition tracking on a low tier and wearables, and plan to stay under about 15 clients. Pick neither if your coaching business is wider than training plans.
- New trainer, under 5 clients, tight budget: Everfit. Its free Starter plan includes the exercise library, workout builder, progress photos, tasks, messaging and the client and coach apps for up to 5 clients. Trainerize's free Basic plan stops at 1 client.
- Online trainer who wants AI help writing programs: Trainerize. Its AI Workout Builder starts on the Grow plan. Everfit's Pro plan lists AI Smart Response, which helps with replies rather than program design.
- Coach who wants clients to book sessions in the same app: Everfit. Booking and scheduling are part of Everfit Pro. On Trainerize, scheduling sits in the Business add-on below the Studio Plus tier.
- Coach who relies on wearable data: Trainerize lists app and wearable integrations from Grow upward.
- Gym or studio with hundreds of members: both offer a big tier (Everfit Studio and Enterprise, Trainerize Studio Plus). Compare quotes.
- Coach who sells programs, courses or group coaching and needs a website, payments and email: Coachful. Neither Everfit nor Trainerize includes a course builder, website, funnels or email marketing.
If you need deeper detail on one side, we have separate guides to Everfit pricing, Trainerize pricing and a full Everfit review.
How do Everfit and Trainerize compare side by side?
Everfit gives more for free and includes booking in Pro. Trainerize includes more nutrition and wearable features on its low tiers but sells scheduling, payments and video separately. We rank the three tools by one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery, total stack cost and setup effort (Coachful includes a free white-glove build).
| Tool | Best for | Free plan | Booking and payments | Nutrition | Courses, website, email | Trustpilot (Oct 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Coaches who deliver programs and run the whole business in one place | No; a free trial | Included: booking pages, calendar sync, Stripe or Razorpay, contracts | Fitness & Nutrition pack: macros, meal plans, recipes, barcode scanning | Included: courses, website, funnels, email sequences | 4.5 from 21 reviews |
| Everfit | Trainers who want free capacity and built-in booking | Yes, up to 5 clients | Booking in Pro; Payments & Packages add-on from $9/month | Food journal, macros and basic meal plans in Pro; Meal Plans & Recipe Books add-on from $39/month | Not offered | 2.7 from 16 reviews |
| ABC Trainerize | Trainers who want AI workout building and wearables | Yes, 1 client | Business add-on $25/month; Stripe payments add-on $10/month | Meal and macro tracking from Grow; Advanced Nutrition add-on $20 or $45/month | Not offered | 3.1 from 100 reviews |
Everfit's Trustpilot score rests on a small number of reviews, so treat it as a weak signal. Trainerize's 100 reviews are a bigger sample.

How much do Everfit and Trainerize cost in 2026?
At 5 clients, Everfit is free and Trainerize Pro costs $25 a month. Above that, Everfit's Pro plan climbs in tiers from $29 a month for 10 clients to $140 for 100 clients, while Trainerize's higher Pro tiers are no longer printed on its pricing page.
Both vendors price by client count, so the honest way to compare them is at the roster size you actually have. The table uses monthly-billing prices. Everfit's Pro tiers come from its pricing page as listed in October 2026. Trainerize's Grow and Pro 5 prices are from its current page. Its Pro 15, 30 and 50 prices come from our September 2026 record of the page, because the October 2026 version no longer prints them.
| Tool | 5 clients | 15 clients | 30 clients | 50 clients | Unlimited or 500+ |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients | Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients | Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients | Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients |
| Everfit | $0 (Starter) or $19/month (Pro) | $49/month (Pro, 20-client tier) | $95/month (Pro, 50-client tier) | $95/month (Pro) or $105/month (Studio) | Studio $430/month for 500; Enterprise by quote |
| ABC Trainerize | $25/month (Pro 5) | $50/month (Pro 15, Sept 2026 record) | $79/month (Pro 30, Sept 2026 record) | $135/month (Pro 50, Sept 2026 record) | Studio Plus from $275/month for up to 500 |
Annual billing lowers both. Everfit shows a second, lower figure on every tier ($16 instead of $19 for Pro at 5 clients, $41 instead of $49 at 20 clients), which reads as the annual rate even though the page does not label it. Trainerize states a 10% annual discount: Grow drops from $10 to $9 and Pro 5 from $25 to $23.
One warning about Trainerize: its pricing page contradicts itself in October 2026. The plan cards show $9, $23 and $248, while the FAQ says Grow "starts at $10", Pro "starts at $25" and Studio Plus "starts at $275 for up to 500 members". The card figures match the annual discount, so the FAQ figures are most likely the monthly prices. Confirm the number on the checkout screen before you commit.

The plan tiers also unlock different features. On Everfit, Starter is free for 5 clients, Pro adds booking, habit coaching, forms, food journal and macros, basic meal plans, the advanced program builder, AI Smart Response, custom branding, community forums and team members. Studio (from $105 a month for 50 clients) adds group chat, broadcast messages, training asset uploads and an on-demand training portal. On Trainerize, Basic gives 1 client with workouts, messaging and habit coaching. Grow ($10 a month, 2 clients) adds the AI Workout Builder, custom programs, meal and macro tracking and wearable integrations. Pro (from $25 a month) adds custom exercise videos, welcome emails, consultation forms, advanced messaging and challenges.
What do the add-ons really cost?
Add-ons are where the two apps differ most. Trainerize sells scheduling, payments, video calls and advanced nutrition separately. Everfit includes booking in Pro but charges extra for payments, full meal plans and automation.
| Tool | Scheduling | Payments | Meal plans | Automation | Video calls | Branded app |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Included in your Coachful membership | Included; 0% platform fee, only Stripe or Razorpay processing | Fitness & Nutrition pack | Included: email sequences with triggers, delays and branching | Included: built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links | Your branding inside the Coachful app |
| Everfit | Included in Pro | Payments & Packages from $9/month | Basic plans in Pro; Meal Plans & Recipe Books from $39/month | Autoflow from $29/month for the first 30 active clients | Not documented on the pages we checked | Custom branding in Pro; white-label options on Enterprise |
| ABC Trainerize | Business add-on $25/month | Stripe Integrated Payments $10/month | Advanced Nutrition $20/month (up to Pro 15) or $45/month (Pro 30 to 200) | Not listed among the add-ons | Video Coaching $10/month (50 hours of calls, 100 hours of streaming) | $169 one-time setup on Pro |
Trainerize's Studio Plus tier includes all add-ons. Everfit's Studio tier includes On-Demand Collections, which otherwise costs from $25 a month. Trainerize also sells FitMetrics from $6 per client.
A worked example at 15 clients
Here is an illustrative month for a trainer with 15 clients who wants clients to book sessions, pay inside the app and follow detailed meal plans. These are example sums from the list prices above, not quotes.
- Trainerize: Pro 15 at $50 (September 2026 record) plus Business at $25, Stripe Integrated Payments at $10 and Advanced Nutrition at $20 comes to $105 a month. Add Video Coaching and it reaches $115.
- Everfit: the 20-client Pro tier at $49 plus Payments & Packages at $9 and Meal Plans & Recipe Books at $39 comes to $97 a month. Add Autoflow and it reaches $126.
Neither total includes a website, a course platform or email marketing. A trainer who also sells a self-paced program usually adds a course tool and a site builder, which is how a stack quietly grows. Our Kajabi pricing and Calendly pricing guides show what those extra tools cost on their own. For comparison, Coachful's plan that covers 15 clients is Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients, with booking, payments, courses, website and email included in the membership.
How do the workout builders compare?
Both apps are built around the workout, and both let you write programs and send them to a client's phone. The differences are in AI help and custom video.
Everfit includes an exercise library and workout builder on the free Starter plan, then adds an advanced program builder on Pro. Studio adds training asset uploads and an on-demand training portal, which suits coaches who sell a library of follow-along sessions. Automation is sold separately through the Autoflow add-on, which starts at $29 a month for the first 30 active clients and then rises in tiers.
Trainerize includes workouts on its free Basic plan. Grow adds custom programs and the AI Workout Builder. Pro adds custom exercise videos so you can film your own demos, plus challenges for group motivation.
For most one-to-one trainers, the builders are close enough that price and add-ons should decide. If you want AI to draft programs, Trainerize has the clearer feature. If you want to give away a full builder to your first 5 clients at no cost, Everfit wins.
Which is better for nutrition coaching?
Trainerize includes meal and macro tracking from its $10 Grow plan, so light nutrition coaching is cheaper there. Everfit includes food journaling, macros and basic meal plans in Pro, and charges from $39 a month for full meal plans and recipe books.
Trainerize's Advanced Nutrition add-on costs $20 a month up to Pro 15 and $45 a month from Pro 30 to 200, so its price jumps as you grow. Everfit's Meal Plans & Recipe Books add-on starts at $39 a month. If you write detailed meal plans for every client, price both add-ons at your client count before choosing.
A note on scope, which applies whichever app you use. Fitness and nutrition coaching is not medical treatment. A coach can set training plans, encourage habits and track macros a client agrees to, but should refer clients to a physician for injuries, pain or medical conditions, and to a registered dietitian for clinical nutrition, disordered eating or diet plans tied to a diagnosis. The US Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans are a sound public baseline to point general clients to. Neither app is a clinical record system, and neither is Coachful, which is not HIPAA-certified.
How do scheduling, payments and automation compare?
Everfit is simpler here: booking comes with Pro and payments cost from $9 a month. On Trainerize, scheduling and payments are two separate add-ons that together cost $35 a month below Studio Plus.
Trainerize's Business add-on ($25 a month) bundles scheduling, referrals, selling products and premium content. In-app payments need the Stripe Integrated Payments add-on ($10 a month), and Stripe's own processing fees apply on top, according to our September 2026 record. Studio Plus includes referral links, prospect booking and onboarding.
Everfit's Payments & Packages add-on starts at $9 a month. Its pricing page does not name the payment processor or show transaction fees. Booking and scheduling are included in Pro. Autoflow, the automation add-on, is priced by active clients.
Neither app lists coaching contracts with e-signature, email sequences or sales funnels on its pricing page. If you sell a high-ticket program, you will usually run sales and onboarding in other tools. Our guides to scheduling software and coaching payment software cover what to look for.
What about branding, client apps and wearables?
Trainerize offers your own branded app on Pro for a $169 one-time setup fee. Everfit includes custom branding on Pro but keeps white-label options and Apple and Google developer support for Enterprise.
Trainerize lists app and wearable integrations from Grow upward, which matters if clients track steps, sleep or heart rate on a watch. Everfit's pricing page does not list wearable sync, so ask Everfit during the trial if this matters to you.
Both apps run a free 30-day trial without a credit card. Trainerize's trial allows unlimited clients but excludes add-ons, and it reverts to the free 1-client plan at the end. Everfit's trial sits alongside a Starter plan that stays free for 5 clients.
What is the client experience like on each app?
On both, the client opens a phone app, sees today's workout, logs sets, checks habits and messages the coach. The differences show up in community and group features.
Everfit Pro includes community forums. Studio adds group chat and broadcast messages. Trainerize Pro includes challenges and advanced messaging, and group video calls arrive with Studio Plus, or through the Video Coaching add-on below that.
Public reviews are mixed for both. Trainerize holds 3.1 on Trustpilot from 100 reviews and Everfit 2.7 from 16, as listed in October 2026. Read recent reviews about billing, support and the client app before you move a roster. A small review count like Everfit's can swing a lot with a handful of new reviews.
Leaving later is also part of the experience. Our September 2026 record notes that Trainerize's client data export leaves out messages, photos and attachments. Everfit does not document its export on the pages we checked. Ask both vendors what you can take with you before you build up years of client history.
Which should you pick: Everfit or Trainerize?
Choose by your roster size and the extras you need, because headline prices mislead once add-ons enter.
- Solo trainer with 1 to 5 clients: Everfit Starter is free and covers what you need to test online training.
- Trainer with 6 to 20 clients who books sessions: Everfit Pro, because booking is included. Trainerize needs the $25 Business add-on for the same job.
- Trainer with 6 to 15 clients who focuses on nutrition: Trainerize, since meal and macro tracking start on Grow and Advanced Nutrition is $20 a month at that size.
- Trainer whose clients live on smartwatches: Trainerize, for its listed wearable integrations.
- Trainer who wants a branded app store listing: Trainerize's $169 setup on Pro is the cheaper route. Everfit keeps white-label for Enterprise.
- Studio with many members and locations: get quotes from both. Everfit Studio runs to 500 clients at $430 a month, and Trainerize Studio Plus starts at $275 a month for up to 500 members.
Pick Everfit over Coachful if you want to pay nothing for your first 5 clients and need nothing beyond training and light nutrition.
Pick Trainerize over Coachful if your clients' wearable data drives your coaching, or you want an app published under your own name in the app stores.

Is there a third option that beats both Everfit and Trainerize?
Yes, if your coaching business is more than workouts. Coachful puts booking, payments, contracts, programs with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant under one subscription, with one login for you and one branded app for your clients.

Coachful is built for coaches who deliver programs rather than single sessions, solo coaches growing into a small team, and coaches replacing 4 to 6 tools. For fitness coaches, the Fitness & Nutrition pack adds a workout builder with an exercise library of illustrated exercises (supersets, circuits, AMRAP, EMOM, intervals, tempo), client workout logging with set history and PRs, nutrition targets up to calories and macros, meal plans, recipes, food lookup and barcode scanning, private progress photos and measurements, weekly check-ins, private form-check video with timestamped coach comments, and challenges. See the Fitness & Nutrition pack and our page for fitness coaches.
Where Coachful beats both
- One login for the whole client journey. A prospect books through your website or a funnel, signs a coaching agreement with e-signature before the first call, pays through your own Stripe or Razorpay account, and lands in a program inside your branded app. On Everfit or Trainerize, at least the website, contract and email steps live elsewhere.
- Between-session delivery. Multi-week programs with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks. Clients who go quiet are flagged as quiet or at risk on the client record.
- Total stack cost. Scheduling, payments, video links, courses, community, website, funnels and email sequences are included in your Coachful membership. There is a 0% Coachful platform fee; you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing.
- Selling more than training. Courses with drip and completion tracking, bundles, events, group calls and webinars, and cohort groups created automatically when a client enrolls in a program.
- Setup effort. Clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding, and the white-glove build service is free on every plan.

Here is a short walkthrough of how programs work inside Coachful:
Check-ins run as coaching flows you set once: a welcome flow, a morning check-in and an evening check-in, each feeding the client record so you can see who is on track before a session.

Booking pages handle availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, with two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook calendar sync. Reminders go out by email, plus SMS 24 hours before and WhatsApp 1 hour before once messaging is enabled. Paid sessions and session credits work for coaches who sell packs of sessions. More on our coaching software page.

Payments cover one-time charges, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons, refunds, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Stripe Tax, with an invoice per transaction plus manual invoices.

For group training, the community feed, group chat, direct messages and video events sit in the same app, so a 12-week cohort can train, post wins and join a live Q&A without a separate community tool. See group coaching software.

The website builder is section-based, with a blog, custom domain, SEO settings and 30 designed homepage templates, plus booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels with pixel and UTM tracking. Read more on the coach website builder page.

Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, works from your live practice data: it can build programs, draft emails and content, summarize recorded sessions and brief you before sessions. Questions and planning are included in the membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits.
Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. From Create, choose "We'll build it for you" and describe what you want: a website, funnel, sales page, program, course outline and written material, email sequence, lead quiz, event or automation. You can attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as logos, photos and brand guides. The Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours, and invents nothing: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, with gaps left for you to fill. In one recent build, a business mentor for beauty professionals got a 12-week mentorship sales page, a free start-up-guide funnel and rewritten follow-up emails. It does not cover recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. Details are in our guide to the free white-glove service.

Where Coachful does not beat them
- No permanent free plan. Everfit is free for 5 clients and Trainerize for 1. Coachful has a free trial, then a paid plan.
- No wearable sync. Coachful does not sync with Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura, and Apple Health sync is not available publicly. Trainerize lists wearable integrations.
- No stock exercise videos. Coachful's library uses illustrated exercises, and you attach your own demo videos.
- No app under your own developer account. Your client app is your branding inside the Coachful app listing.
- No PayPal, no HIPAA certification and no clinical record-keeping or insurance billing.
If those gaps do not touch your business, the price comparison is easy to run: Current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients. Monthly plans cancel in one click, lower plans cap the number of clients, Pro is unlimited, and team plans add coach seats with per-coach availability and staff permissions.

How do you switch between Everfit, Trainerize and Coachful?
Export what you can, rebuild your programs, then move clients in a planned week rather than one at a time. The export is the weak point on both fitness apps.
- Export client data. Trainerize's export leaves out messages, photos and attachments, per our September 2026 record, so save key progress photos and notes by hand. Ask Everfit what its export includes.
- List your active programs and add-ons. Note which add-ons you pay for, so you can cancel them on the right date.
- Rebuild or import. Moving to Coachful, clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding, and the white-glove team can rebuild a site or funnel.
- Tell clients the date. Send one clear message with the new app link and what will look different.
- Keep the old app for one billing cycle so you can check history if a client asks.
Coachful exports your full client data as a ZIP (roster, notes, check-ins, goals, habits, sessions and form responses), so you are never locked in either. See all options side by side on our comparison hub.
Frequently asked questions
Is Everfit cheaper than Trainerize?
At 5 clients, yes: Everfit Starter is free, while Trainerize Pro 5 costs $25 a month. At 15 to 30 clients the base prices are close, and add-ons decide the total. Price the exact add-ons you need at your roster size.
Does Everfit or Trainerize have a free plan?
Both do. Everfit Starter is free for up to 5 clients, and Trainerize Basic is free for 1 client. Both also offer a 30-day free trial with no credit card, as listed in October 2026.
Which app is better for nutrition coaching?
Trainerize includes meal and macro tracking from its $10 Grow plan, and its Advanced Nutrition add-on is $20 a month up to 15 clients. Everfit includes macros and basic meal plans in Pro and sells full meal plans from $39 a month. For clinical nutrition, refer to a registered dietitian whichever app you use.
Can clients book and pay inside Everfit or Trainerize?
Yes, with conditions. Everfit includes booking in Pro and sells Payments & Packages from $9 a month. Trainerize needs the $25 Business add-on for scheduling and the $10 Stripe add-on for payments, unless you are on Studio Plus.
Do Everfit and Trainerize offer a branded app?
Trainerize offers a custom branded app on Pro for a $169 one-time setup. Everfit includes custom branding on Pro and reserves white-label options for Enterprise. Coachful puts your branding inside the Coachful app rather than a separate store listing.
Can I build a website or sell courses with Everfit or Trainerize?
Not on the plans they list. Neither includes a course builder, website, funnels or email marketing, so most coaches add separate tools. Coachful includes all of these in one membership; see our course platform for coaches page.
What is Coachful's free white-glove service?
It is a done-for-you build on every Coachful plan: you describe a website, funnel, program, course outline or email sequence, attach references, and the team builds it in your account, usually within about 24 hours. It does not include video recording, logo design, ads or ongoing marketing.
Is Coachful a good fit for personal trainers?
It fits trainers who sell programs, coach groups or run the business side themselves, thanks to the Fitness & Nutrition pack plus booking, payments, courses and a website. It is a weaker fit if you need wearable sync, stock exercise videos or a permanent free plan.
Are Everfit and Trainerize HIPAA-compliant?
Their pricing pages, as listed in October 2026, do not make that claim, so ask each vendor directly if you handle protected health information. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and is not meant for clinical records.
How do I start with Coachful?
Start a free trial, then use the free white-glove build to get your site, funnel or first program set up. Clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding.
